A Walk in the Garden

Today when I woke up and pulled back the drapes, I noticed the rain falling swiftly across the street. The air is cool, and crisp today and you can see the wind blowing through the trees. To some it may seem like another cold, wet day, but I see something totally different, maybe you can see something different too. Can you see the signs of Spring and life drawing near? What a beautifully, amazing site it is. There is something magical that comes with a late winter rain. It is a sure sign that change is just around the corner.
The beginning of spring is starting to peak through. I see flowers starting to erupt from the ground and buds are beginning to form on the trees. I think this time of year is magical and breath taking. God is so good, I consider myself blessed to be able to see such beauty, especially during this time of year.
Do you know that we can have the season of spring in our personal lives any time of the year. It depends on the issues that life brings and how we walk through them. Maybe you or someone you know has just gone through some hardships and they are beginning to see the buds of a fuller life starting to form. They might be in the reflection stage; looking back to a time not long ago when their seemed to be death, and not life surrounding them. But now they can see that it was just a faze of dormancy, and they see the true life of Spring growing all around. What special times these are. During that dormant season I am sure it may have been difficult to believe that there was light just on the other side of the dark soil of life, but God knew better.
I must say that there is beauty even in the midst of the dormancy, when we look back and reflect on what we have learned during those times of difficulty or questionable fazes of our life. The soil was moved around and stirred up in our spirit. God was at work that whole time when we thought we were all alone. Even though we were experiencing difficulty and pain, we were being strengthened, like an athlete preparing for a marathon. Athletes have to go through the pain of exercising and vigorous training to get a spot in the starting line, in hopes of winning the race.

Things beneath the surface were happening in our life that we couldn't see, just like that first bud trying to press its way through the soil in order to reach the light. That is exactly how God's hands move in our lives. He gives us strength for what our future holds. The blessings and challenges in life that only God sees are gifts, working in us and preparing us for our future. Oh, how He wants to pour out those blessings on us, His children. But He knows that there must be a time when we need to be strengthened and nourished. He does it by allowing us to go through what at times seems to hard to handle, this is so He can bless us and put us in the position He has called us to. You are God's most precious gift. He has great plans for your life. A life He is preparing for His purpose and your destiny. When we can reflect on those difficulties and circumstances we see where he has matured us, and grown us in the spirit, as well as, physically at times. We can see Jesus with us as we reflect back and know that we were walking in the garden with Him. We are now the strong flower that emerged from the darkness of the soil and are able to stand in reverence and awe of who God is, and what He has ordained us to do. We are now standing with His strength and are able to give those around us encouragement for what God will be bringing them through. You have walked in the garden with God, with His hand in yours as you moved through the struggles and now stand firmly with His Spirit all around you. You are now able to share wisdom and knowledge with those who are walking where you once walked. Let those memories be worn with honor and humility in your heart, as you reach out towards another, who can only see the dark soil, and they are reaching for God's light. Be tender, kind, and loving, with a spirit of joy for what you have learned.
If you don't have this kind of relationship through the love of Jesus Christ but want to have this kind of love relationship let me tell you that you can. We all can.
If you would like someone to come along side of you to encourage you as you begin to grow closer in your relationship with God I invite you to e-mail me at tmsorsdal@gmail.com. I can share how I can assist you on your journey.
If you know what it is like to walk in the Garden with Jesus Christ, I Praise God for you and what you have learned through those difficult times! It is exciting to walk with Him, and to know the blessings that come from it. I invite you to be bold in your faith. May the love of Jesus Christ flow through you as God directs you in the anointing He has placed on your life. And may your life be overflowing with the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ, as you ebb and flow in the current of Gods hands. Your seed will fall on those who need it, because that is God's will and purpose for your life.

In His strength I leave you,

Tina Marie Sorsdal
