A few nights ago I woke up from a crazy dream. My family and I were buried under the dirt and we were trying to dig our way through. First we were digging with two spoons, then we had four spoons and were still digging and getting no where fast. Finally we had 6 spoons and with every breath we were digging harder and faster, but were getting no where. Then I woke up.
Have you ever had a strange dream and wondered what it meant, was I suppose to understand something by it? I sure have, many times. But that night, before I went to sleep I asked the Lord to give me a dream letting me know if my husband and I should buy a new home. When I woke I knew that God had spoke through my dream just as I had requested. I realized that if we would purchase that home we would be buried in debt and getting no where fast. We live in Northern California and the market seems to be continuously falling. That was a pretty clear picture to let me know that the prices would still be coming down and the house we were wanting to purchase may not be as valuable in a few months as it is right now. We were suppose to go that evening and sign papers to put an offer in on the house. Both my husband and I had feelings that let us know we were not suppose to buy a home, any home. God is really good, I love when we ask for answers and He delivers in a clear way.
I don't know what I would have done if we would have decided to go on with our plan, and not looked to God for what we should do. Yes I do, we would probably be trying to figure out how to dig ourselves out of the mess we had gotten into.
Maybe you are in a place where you didn't seek the Father before making a big decision in your life, and now you are having to live within the confines of that choice. Let me tell you, Jesus Christ is right there with you. Start talking to Him and seeking Him for advice and direction regarding what you should do next. It is never to late to get on track with Him. You may have taken a little bumpier road than He would have shown you, but there is still a shorter way to get where He wants you to be; if only you will start consulting with Him over your situation. Ask for clarity, wisdom and understanding. But remember you also have to be ready to accept His direction, it may not be the easiest decision, but His way will be the right way. You may realize that it could be one of the toughest steps you have ever taken, but He is there with you, so all will be OK. Ask Him to pour out His peace and protection over the path He is calling you to walk down. He will provide. He sees that there is light just ahead, when all you are seeing is the dark tunnel that seems to never end. You may only be a step away from the light.
If you are in need of a confidant to help you stay the course as you seek Jesus' direction, I would enjoy walking that journey with you. I invite you to e-mail me, at tmsorsdal@gmail.com.
